E PEOPLE DEDICATION This yearbook is dedicated to Wanda Walter, Alsea School's indispensable person. She started working for the school in 1962, and a few years ago she became the deputy clerk. Her presence brightens the office, but her jobs aren't the glamorous 'onesg she keeps the school accounts, orders and dis- tributes supplies, repairs temperamental machines and super- vises the student body treasurer, to name a few. At school board meetings, she makes sure everyone has a cup of coffee, takes attendance and keeps the minutes. She also lends her support to most school functions. Her skill and knowledge keep the school business in order. Wanda almost always has the answer, and if she doesn't, she will find out. Teachers and staff find her expertise invaluable in helping them perform their jobs better. Everyone wonders how Alsea School ever managed before Wanda came.
