I-IO ECUMI G Participation was excellent during Spirit Week. Classes 7-12 competed against each other for the grand prize of a day long field trip to the place of their choice. Points were gained for class performance during the week. A new theme each day challenged students to find appropriate dress. Crazy hats, American heroes, old tim- ers, scuds and loyal blue and white Wolverines all made their appearance. Pep assemblies each day featured con- tests: orange in the neck race, pie-eating, toilet paper race, cheering contest. The Powder Puff football game was held Wednesday in a downpour. Thursday, students were excused early to build the bonfire. That evening the fire was lit and the Homecoming Queen, Carol Sapp, and her court were presented. On Friday, the grand prize was presented to the 7th graders and juniors, who tied. The football team scored a victory, and the day ended with Homecoming Dinner. Spirit Week festivities ended at the dance Saturday night. Night Song provided the music. ,- ' 1 i. . A , M -1-443 Il-. ' 1
