4' v JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY We enrolled as Green Freshmen in the year '53, We were proud to have twenty- eight girls and twenty-eight boys enrolled. We were sorry to lose some of our class mates. Mrs. T.P. Jones was elected as our sponsor. Daytha Jackson was elected cheer- leader from our class. Forty-three of the fifty-sik returned in the sophomore year. We were sorry to lose the following students: Dorothy Bazzell, Melvin Smith, Rex Donelson. We gained Ger- aldine Outland from Murray High. We were represented on the ball team by Jerry Rob- erts, Clifton Edwards, J.C. Collins, Earl Phillips, Thomas Reeves and Bobby Pritchett. We elected Mr. DJ. Miller as our sponsor. This year we have thirty-seven Jolly Juniors' enrolled. Ann Roberts did not return, Geraldine Outland and Sally Lovett dropped out during the first semester. We were proud to gain a new student J.W. McCarty from Murray High. Representing us on the ball team are J.W. McCarty, Jerry Roberts, Bobby Pritchett, Thomas Reeves, Charles Peeler, Earl Phillips, Clifton Edwards and J.C. Collins. Daytha Jac kson was elected cheerleader from our class. Mr. Milton Walston was elected as our class sponsor. We are looking forward to becoming dignified seniors. rs 4
