Mary Boyd We enrolled as Freshmen in the year '51, There Were thirty-nine of us with high hopes for the future. Those dropping out during the year were Joe Pat Jones, Sammy Pucket, Mark Ramsey, Charles Haley, Nelson Garland, James Duncan, Gene Starks, Shirley Duncan and Beverly Robertson. We elected Mrs. Ruby Miller as our sponsor. Barbara Tucker was elected cheerleader. We presented the play, Mother Mine . At the beginning of our Sophomore year the following students did not return: Shirley Tucker and Carol Little. Representing us on the ball team Were Daniel Pritchett, Eugene Herndon and Charles McCuistion. We were proud to have Barbara Tucker elected cheerleader. Joyce Bizzell and Mary Boyd were elected as alternate cheerleaders. Mr. D. J. Miller was elected as our sponsor. This year We have twenty-six Jolly Juniors enrolled. We were very sorry that Julia Mae Torn and Barbara Tucker did not return. Lereece Arnold quit school and moved to Florida during the first semester. Threessa Overby and J eannene Garrison quit school to get married. We were represented on the ball team by Daniel Pritchett, Charles McCuistion, Eugene Herndon. Joyce Bizzell and Mary Boyd were elected as cheerleaders. We elected Mr. Milton Walston as our class sponsor. We are looking forward to a happy Senior year.
