Green, but Gorgeous On the 24th of August 1951, we, the Senior Class, entered school as the Green Freshmen of Almo High School. There were forty enrolled in our class. We elected the following officers: President, Ronald Pace, Vice-Presi- dent, Margarett Washer, Secretary, Dwain McClard, Treasurer, Eulane Burkeen, Mr. D. J. Miller was chosen as our sponsor. We were represented on the ball team by Jerry Edwards, Marvin Scott, Bobby Schroader, Derrall Lockhart, Eulane Burkeen, Dwain McClard, George Clark, Kelsie Hooks, Willie Jackson, Martin Wells and Jackie Thorn. Our classmate, Margarett Washer, was elected as cheerleader and most popular girl. We presented a Black Face Minstrel. SOPHOMORE ........ Silly, but Sharp In our Sophomore year we started with thirty-six en- rolled. We were proud to have Ruth Bagwell, David Reed, James Overby and Ramona Cecil join our class. We elected the following class officers: President, Derrall Lockhart, Secretary-Treasurer, Willie Jackson, Reporter, Dwain Mc- Clard. We elected Mrs. E. B. Howton as our sponsor. We were represented on the ball team by Kelsie Hooks, Derrall Lockhart, Dwain McClard, Martin Wells, James Overby, Jackie Thorn, Willie Jackson, David Reed and Ronald Pace. Ruth Bagwell was elected cheerleader from our class. We presented the play, Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick . JUNIOR ........ Jolly, but J ittery Our Junior year we entered school with only thirty-one Jolly Juniors enrolled in our class. The following students did not return: Bobby Schroader, Geraldine Hopkins, Laura Nell Hopkins, Roy Williams, Ramona Cecil and Pat Thweatt. We were glad to have Henry Towery join our class at Christmas. We elected the following officers: President, Dwain McClard, Vice-President, Derrall Lock-
