P7'0pb6Qf Viewed from our space capsule traveling over the United States we see the graduating class of 1962 in the year 2000. During these 38 years, many advancements have been made by the people of earth. Focusing in with our ultra-sensitive T.V. camera we see these people in their present occupations. As I focus in with the side angle T.V. camera, I see all these nine people working very hard and with the sound detector, I heard these people making more noise than Khrushchev when he had to import his Cognac from the United States. So I decided to view all nine of them from the graduating class of '62 and get a picture of the well-rounded American. I saw a huge airplane flying towards Hawaii and through one of the windows I spied a cute little stewardess, named Ricky Flick, trying to make Elvis Presley comfortable, and doing the tromp to the vibrations of his sacroiliac. I sure hope she doesn't scream too loud and break out the windows in the pressurized cabin. As I came over Seattle, I saw a big crowd honoring a man for building the most modern missle. As I got closer, I could see that the man was John Nansen. John has been known to fly one of his rockets to the moon and back just to prove that his missle was safe. Hope he continues to have many more safe flying hours. Continuing on over the Cascade Mountains, I saw this hugh farm about ten miles square. Over in the south forty, I saw Robin Parry arguing with the internal revenue man. As near as I can make out, the government owes Mr. Parry about one million dollars. Good luck Robin--I hope you collect! Passing over Spokane, I saw Janis Campbell conducting the Spokane Orchestra in an out- door concert. I can see by the clouds above that it's going to rain. The orchestra members aren't leaving, but the people are. Oh well, I'm sure, even from up here, that they performed very well, but the rain, it's just one of those things. From way up here I could see many different colors coming out of a building in Montana where the art exhibit for the most talented of artists is held. All the artists seemed to be hailing one as the greatest, and it seemed to be Larry Peha. It seems to me that Larry is one of the great- est cartoonists since Carl Shultz, who draws Peanuts. Down below in Ohio now, on the State campus, I saw two noted professors walking down the street talking about something. As I got closer I could tell that the two were Professor Daryl Halden of the Industrial Arts Dept. and Professor Dave Herdrick of the Literature Department. The two seemed to be on their way to a meeting with the Board of Regents. Both are very noted scholars of their field and have contributed much to the teaching of young Genius. Both are worthy Americans. As I continued on my journey, I flew over Washington D. C. and in the White House, I could see Cheryl Litt in her office. She was appointed the first woman Secretary-Treasurer of the United States by the President. It seemed she was trying to get the government out of the red. She'll probably be the first woman president someday and I'll be glad to campaign for her when she decides to run on the right platform. While in Washington, I also saw Janet Hyde performing her duties as the private tutor to Caroline Kennedy. Janet has received many degrees from several colleges and is a very learned person. She will teach the Democrats how to run a good government. I left these nine people with a feeling of success, as they Q have become. As I started on my trip home, I can truthfully say, I got a picture of the well-rounded American.
