PROSE AND POETRY ROOM I My Pickle I bought a little pickle, That cost just a nickle. I cut it in the middle. And it squirted just a little. Margaret Bouseman My Dogs I have two dogs, Their names are jack and jill, When I go riding on my sled, They beat me down the hill Sylvia Braden The Snow The snow is white, The snow is light, It came and covered The ground last night, Dorothy Gammon Five Soldiers Five little soldiers standing in a row, All bow down to the Captain so, They march to the left, They march to the right They stand up straight All ready to fight-- When alsong came a man With a great big gum And, Bang!--You ought to seen Those soldiers run.
