CLASS OF '47 Well now as I always say, Might as well begin now as some other day. This poems' about the class of '47 Who think the're in their 7th Heaven. When the last little Freshie waves good-by Then Mrs, jackson will heave a sigh, Let's start out with Bill who goes Three days lthen he gets his fill, Like most any other boy will, Next we come to little Mike Incidently, he's not a very little tyke He was Mr. Fezzy wig in a play We kid him about it to this day. Well, johnny's next on the list, Many days he's never missed, We hope he'll continue to be smart So in graduation he'll take part. Next, we come to Powell fthat's Vernon, To be a Freshie next year he's yearnin This year, to complete his learnin. With energy he'll have to he burnin. After Vernon comes Anna Mae She has her lessons most every day Even though she's some tirnes late Good lessons seem to be her fate. Elnora does her lessons well some times And fools the teacher well enough But one of these' day's the teacher'11 catch on, Then just watch Elnora do her stuff. So here's to the Class of '47 who've just stepped out of their 7th Heaven Let's hope.they come to their senses after awhile So they can trudge the long and hard old mile. So we'll be proud of that merry class As the treacherous journey to life they pass.
