CLASS HIST OR Y In the Yell' of 1938 Mr. Lulu Owen planted five little seeds in the first row in the garden of Alma School. She planted a variety of Elnora Williams, Mike Bee, Vernon Powell, joan Baker, and Della Mae Watson, These seeds grew into Mrs. Williams room. In the third grade joan Baker was choked out by a weed called Toledo, Illinois. Billy Writht took her place. The same group of children went on until Clyde Wayoner joined them in the fourth grade. The other seeds grew into the sixth grade where they lost Vernon Powell, He was choked outuand thrown away by another seed called Effingham, Illinois. iAfterca year -he came'back as af thistle and re- joined the merry troup of half grown plants which now consisted of Elnora Williams, Bill Wright, Vernon Powell, Anna Mae Feathers, johnny Wyatt, Mike Bee, and Clyde Wagoner. But Clyde left at the end of the seventh year. The group of now almost grown plants were ready for the last row in the garden of Alma School. The gardener, Mrs. jackson pulled out the weeds and fertilized them with Geography, Reading, Arith- metic, Spelling, English, and History. Then they were transferred to the 8th row. Six grown up plants remained. They were johnny Wyatt, Bill Wright, Anna Mae Feathers, Mike Bee, Elnora Williams and Vernon Powell. We hope these plants will soon leave the garden of Alma School and go out into the garden of the world. Sue Hester Elnora Williams

CLASS PROPHECY As I was making a short trip to the moon, I almost had a collision in mid-space with another rocket. We stopped on a small planet to see which was the guilty party. As-I descended from my rocket, I discovered my rival was none other than Vernon Powell, my old school mate. He told me he was also going to the moon to search for his lost partner. Mike Bee, who was believed to have fallen into a crater. He told me that his wife, the former Anna Mae Feather, was among the people going to Mars for their vacation. William Writht is manager of the ancient history department in the Kalamazoo museum in the now almost deserted city of New York. His department shows the long past 1947 Studebaker s. We, also, learned that our old school mate, johnny Wyatt, was the manager of the basket-ball team at the University of Lima South America which has not lost a game for many years. He is plann- ing a game with Afaghaustan that once, backward country, which is now almost as modern as the U. S. A. The game is to be held in the middle of the ocean on' a push button ball diamond. After a long talk with my old schoolmate, I returned to Alma, Illinois: which is now the largest city in the U. S. A. I, then made a fifteen minute trip to the South Pole, I almost ran into a frozen ice cake which contained the 2,000 year old body of Adm. Byrd. A glacier which had passed over a few minutes before had uncovered it. Scientists have searched for it for ages., I sent the ice cake to the museum on my automobile rocket. In a few minutes my name was flashed all over the world by the atomatic radio-graph. Iwas given a reward of Sl0,000,000,000. I used part of my reward money to visit the old Alma School which is in the museum of ancient History at Alma. The book Penrod is still well preserved in its Library. I hope the rest of my old classmates will come home to roost pretty soon. Elnora Williarns
