Z 4 5 A s s H I SCFOTX 5 wg. , Xa A l X I will now attempt to relate the history and happenings of the mi st brilliant and studious class ever to pass out the doors of old Alma High, the Senior class of l95l. Each day of our twehn years in Alma was crowd- ed wlth important events and unusual happenings. Jolene Blum, Carolyn Dodge, Baarara Baker, and Clara Dyer started out in the first grade under Miss Suitor. Pat Dugan also entered the first grade in Alma, but moved to Michigan and joined us again in the eighth grade. Twenty-slx freshmen made their first appearance in Alma Higlm o n September 21, l957. At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: President ................. Lynne Randall Vice Pres1dent.... ....Marvel Haeker Secy Treas ......... ........ Jolene Blum Sponsor ......... ......... ..... Mr. Weber During the first semester Patsy Hart moved away. To our amazement we soon became known as the 'Bully sophiesl no' new could that possibly bel!l??? ' The gym was beautifully decorated for a Christmas Party on December 23. Miss Milburn To show our dramatic ability, we presented the play, 'You Can't Take It With You' on December 9, under the direction of Mr. Jack Becker. Impressive class rings proved the fact that we were sophisticated. But the best was yet to come!! Not only were we 'greenn, 'bu111esn, nsoph1st1cated', but we became very dignified upper classmen.
