To the Future It is fitting that we, the January and June classes of '44, dedicate our Chronicle to something we revere and respect, something in which we put our trust and our hope. Therefore, it with this thought in mind that we dedicate ourselves and our book to the future: to the future of our class and the classes gone before us and the classes to come-the future that we look forward to with eagerness and renewed courage, to the future of our school, where we have grown from adolescence to adulthood, seen peace go and war come grimlyg to the future of a nation where we may live to plan and meet our future in safety and in joy, to the future of a world drawing nearer to lasting peace, a world where all men shall be free and equal, united by one common bond of brotherhood. The past is behind us, but the future is yet to come. We dedicate our book and ourselves to making it a future of promise and fruitfulness.
