DON CLA BERNARD BECKER Department Head An intensive study of American English, and World Literature coupled with an emphasis on vocabulary and composition forms the framework of the Communications Department of AHS. Each year sees the introduction of new mini-courses, revised classes, and enlarged speech and journalism offerings. The department aids the student in the exploration of various literary genre and critical analysis; however, the importance of each individual is constantly stressed and the student is afforded the opportunity to form bases for his own personal future.
