We scrubbed while thru our probie days, Performed our duties best we knew, By dusting wards and serving trays, While other things we knew but few. Once we beheld at splendid scene, A visionary scene of bliss, Truth! Wherefore did your hated dream Awake us to world like this? And yet our hearts some solace knew When oft' we heard some lips declare You're Juniors soon, so don't be blue, Of this fact we became aware. If David, when his toils were tended, Had heard suchblockheads talk before him, To us his psalms had ne'er descended, In furious mood he would have tore them. We now are busily engaged, In giving medicines andbathsg And making r-eady to turn the page - Into the Intermediate class. To us it was a glorious thought, Having dr-essing rooms in charge, completeg And have the doctors to us impart Strict sterility means germs' defeat. -eight

And now from such a splendid scene, Folks, turn an eye, as time grows later, To View unheeded and unseen, The studious daughters of Alma Mater. Since now the hour is come at last, And all our wishes are to recover, For our last exam. is past, One pang more, and all is over. To think of every early scene Of what we are, and what we've been, Would whelm some other hearts with woe, But we have bravely stood the blow. Success is ours on every page, An epitaph on every tongueg The present hours, the future age, For us bewail, .to us belong. We have passed some happy hours, We've had our hardships, joys and fears While within these college towers, Where we have spent the last three years.
