Twelve years ago, the present senior class, with bright expectant faces, presented itself to the first grades of various schools to delve into the mysteries of readin ritin and rlthmetic. Of approximately thirty pupils who started here in 1938, only three of the original class have remained — Bob, Carol and Stan. After going through the usual trials and tribulations of elementary students—quarrels, pranks and punishments, appearing in operettas scrub- bed and shining with crepe paper costumes, we finally entered Junior High School, with Mrs. Hall as our 7th grade teacher and Mr3. Tower as our 8th grade teacher. We started our high school with an enrollment of ten eager fresh- men, full of enthusiasm and extreme ideas, which our new principal, Mr. Conrad immediately curbed and directed into the right channels. During our sophmore year we became active in many fields. We gave successful dance and sold salt water taffy. Our boys partic- ipated in the new sports program which our new coach, Mr. Richardson, set up. In our junior year we had a Junior Prom, a Junior Play, Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick, a box social and we also sold stationery. Preparation for our Senior trip to New York caused a great flurry of money raising schemes. We had two movies, a play, Jest Country Folks , a sock dance, a benefit basketball game and a pancake supper. We also sold cards and stationery. Our boys were active in track, bas- ketball, soccer, baseball, and tennis, as well as band, choir and press club. We will always be grateful to our parents and teachers for making it possible for us to arrive at this junction of our educational career.
