Both are very active in track, soccer, basketball, and baseball. Senior Class Advisor - Mr. Clarence Burlingame Twelve years ago, the present senior class, with bright expectant faces, presented itself to the first grades of various schools to delve into the mysteries of readin ritin and rlthmetic. Of approximately thirty pupils who started here in 1938, only three of the original class have remained — Bob, Carol and Stan. After going through the usual trials and tribulations of elementary students—quarrels, pranks and punishments, appearing in operettas scrub- bed and shining with crepe paper costumes, we finally entered Junior High School, with Mrs. Hall as our 7th grade teacher and Mr3. Tower as our 8th grade teacher. We started our high school with an enrollment of ten eager fresh- men, full of enthusiasm and extreme ideas, which our new principal, Mr. Conrad immediately curbed and directed into the right channels. During our sophmore year we became active in many fields. We gave successful dance and sold salt water taffy. Our boys partic- ipated in the new sports program which our new coach, Mr. Richardson, set up. In our junior year we had a Junior Prom, a Junior Play, Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick, a box social and we also sold stationery. Preparation for our Senior trip to New York caused a great flurry of money raising schemes. We had two movies, a play, Jest Country Folks , a sock dance, a benefit basketball game and a pancake supper. We also sold cards and stationery. Our boys were active in track, bas- ketball, soccer, baseball, and tennis, as well as band, choir and press club. We will always be grateful to our parents and teachers for making it possible for us to arrive at this junction of our educational career. TViil Carl Margeson - I will my appetite to Durwood (not that he needs it). Stan Alsworth - I will my ability to be seen and not heard to Ward with the reminder that practice makes perfect. Carol Wray - I will my singing voice to the basses in chorus. Jane Alsworth - I will my freckles to Athlene. Dots make, short people look taller. Bob Wray - I will the chemistry notes that I never used to Miss Harder. She can burn them in the paper basket when the library is cold. 706 706 Boy Girl Best Looking Tom Glass Athelene Perry Most Popular Bob Wray Carol Wray Best Dresser Don Pye Thelia Bartlett Personality Larry Tait Jane Alsworth Studious Durwood Coats Athelene Perry Versatile Bob Wray Carol Wray Noisiest Carl Margeson Lucia Seely Musioal Bob Wray Carol Wray Flirt Ward Guild Gloria Demmlng Cheerful Donald Adams Jane Alsworth Pal Larry Tait Jane Alsworth Hungriest Durwood Coats Gladys Potter Smile Dick Scott Mary Lou Kruger Actor Vyle Bundy Barbara Leonard Athletic Bob Wray Kay Brunell Best Line Ward Guild Gloria Demmlng Cutest Carl Kruger Mary Lou Kruger Front Row: Athelene Perry; Durwood Coats; Miss Sader Back Row: Vyle Bundy; Ward Guild; Lester Witter; Frank Cady ■ Class Officers President Vice President Secretary Treasurer Durwood Coats Frank Cady Ward Guild Vyle Bundy Class Advisor - Miss Margaret Sader Our class undertook several money-making projects to build up our treasury; we sold pencils with the basketball schedule on then, paper flowers, and pop and candy at the basketball games. Last fall, our class sponsered a movie. Four of the Juniors took part in the Senior Class Play, Just Country Folks.” All the boys were active in sports and our only girl, Athelene, is Captain of the cheerleading squad. Our class wants to take this opportunity to congradulate the Senior Class and to wish them all much success in the future. ■ adamare Row 1: Don Adams; Barbara Leonard; Gladys Potter; Kay Brunell; Jean Jandrew; Larry Talt Row 2: Larry Gowdy; Dick Scott; Clinton Bundy; Walt Stephens; Gene Swarthout; Bob Dean Class Advisor - Miss Carolyn Wick Row 1: Lucia Seely; Barbara Adams; Joyce Stephens; Thelia Bartlett; Miss Tucker Row 2; Carl Kruger; Don Pye; Duane Griswold; Eugene Wycoff; Larry Wightman; James Bellamy.
