The mic apartment Melody, both vocal and instrumental, is for the raising up of men's hearts, and the sweetcuing of their affections toward God. -Hooker. 1 The Music Department of the Allentown Bible Institute is one of constant growth and development. The opportunity of studying under our capable teacher, Mrs. Vtlilliam Allshouse, is indeed a very great in- ducement for this activity. Mrs. Allshouse, who studied music under Professor Cecil Mastin. Dr. Ian Alexander of London, England, and tookg special work in music at the Practical Bible Training School, Binghamton, Y., has arranged four courses, Voice, Piano, Uonducting, and The Student Chorus. The entire student body takes two of these courses, Conducting and The Student Chorus. ln Piano and Voice the outstanding progress made hy the pupils shows that their director has teaching methods that bring artistic results and that she understands the requirements necessary for the development of each individual.
