Beulah Kunkle from Bethlehem, Pa. entered school in 19301. We are told that still water, runs deep . That this applies to Beulah one can readily see, for she is calm, possessing a quiet, determined nature and a faithful heart. In spiteof great obstacles she is the overcomer and is graduating from both the Theological and High School Depart- ments. Beulah, our prayers and good wishes go with you and we trust that you will be a great blessing in the 'world as you pursue your course as a nurse. Harold Garrison is from Glassboro, N. J. and has been with us for two years. Seeing the need of an education under Christian influence he came to A. B. l. after spending two years in the Grlassboro High School. He has lbeen a sincere and earnest student. We feel sure that as he continues to walk with God that ihis life will prove ia blessing to manv. Harold, we are wishing for you the richest of God's blessings. Julia Etien, another one of our laborers, comes from Allentown, Pa. Julia is the first Allentown High School graduate to graduate from A. B. l. She entered school in 1933 and working unceasingly, has been an example of the real student. She has also been faithful in preaching when the opportunity was offered. ln our class she has discharged her duties very efficiently as the Secretary. We feel confident that she will be a blessing wherever she goes. Y Lewis Adams, our class President and Editor-in-chief of '4The Beacon , has done everything from the humblest work to assisting in The teaching. He came to us from Glassboro, N. J. in 1932, having grad- uated from that High School. Throughout his entire school life he has been a hard and willing Christi-an worker. He is frank, open, and generous. The interest of thc class was deep in his heart. This year he served faithfully as librarian. For two years he sang in the school quartette which has been a great blessing through its ministry in song. Besides 'being a real student Lewis is a preacher. His faith in God and his preaching ability predict that he will be a great 'blessing to the church. ' Truly one of our foremost students goes forth with the best wishes of everyone connected with A. B. T. Artemas Byrd, the Vice President of our class and Assistant Editor of The Beacon came from Coopers, W. Va. in 1932, having completed High School at Bramwell, VV. Va. His training in Business College ac- counts for the efficiency with which he has served as the school book- keeper for three years. -Ol ' 27 lk-

ass Z5 tory VVe, the Class of 1935, have come not to the end but to the beginning, For some of us this is the end of our work here in the Allentown Bible Institute but it is also the beginning of a life of service. VVe look back on our school life as an accomplishment not only for man but for God. Our class has been engaged in building a structure, each member being a laborer. Our goal has been to erect a structure that will stand throughout eternity. We do not feel that our building days are over but we do feel that here we have laid a firm foundation upon which We can build for the remainder of our lives - a foundation that will sup- port a great and beautiful edifice, Uhristian Character. Year after year other laborers have begun to build. Arches have been planned with patience, stones have been laid with prayer, mighty pillars of resolve have been raised and blocks of wisdom fitted in. Our laborers have Worked together faithfully. They have been watchful, prayerful and earnest. One of them is William Allshouse, who came to A. B. I. six years ago from Glassboro, N. J. From the very beginning he has diligently applied himself in the pursuit of his studies. Since that time he has endeared himself to the entire school. ln William we have found a steady Chris- tian character. For five years he sang in the school quartette, which traveled about the country spreading the Gospel. Last year he grad- uated from the Theological Department, tonight he is completing his High School. ' To prove to us that he had the interest of the school at heart, last June he married the music teacher, thus assuring us that she Would not leave. Throughout this year he has served very efficiently as Dean of men. We predict a bright future for him in whatever work he attempts since he has so successfully carried on his work here. Mr. Allshouse, as you graduate tonight We can truthfully say that your name will always bring pleasant memories. May God richly bless you in your every attempt for Him. -Nl 2 6 39

Artemas also sang in the school quartette for two years. Ile has shown a whole hearted interest in everything that concerned Allentown Bible Institute. He has spread among us much happiness. We, as ia school are indebted to Lewis and Artemas more than we can repay for their willing and whole-hearted service in behalf of the school. During the last part of the school year, seeing the need of the school, they gave their services in canvassing the Eastern District in behalf of God 's work in the Institute. As Artemas goes forth we release hini with the confidence that his will be a life which will lead many to Christ. ,A Flarence Vtlert first came to school in 1929 having graduated from High School in Dalmatia, Pa. Last year he returned to A. B. I. to com- plete his course in Theology. VVe have enjoyed his fellowship as he has taken his place as truck driver, kitchen worker, and preacher. He is an able student. His attainments have been reached through hard labor. His attitude toward God and spiritual things has been a great help to the students.. He has always been ready with cheery words when many others were discouraged. When he returned to school from his C'hristn1ias vacation, Margaret Stroup had become Mrs. Wert. We are indeed glad to have him to graduate with us. As he goes from A. B. I. we believe he goes with the blessing of God and we feel assured that he will go out to bless a lost and dying world. Margaret Stroup Wert joined us in 1932. During the three years she has spent in school her steady walk with God and her constant faith in Him have been a blessing to those who know her. Margaret has also proven to us that she is a good cook, having served the school in that capacity for three years. We are confident that her life will be a blessing. The necessity of graduation deprives us of some of the best friends we can hope to have. Margaret, may God bless you as you go forth to labor for Him. Lloyd Simpson came to A. B. I. in 1931 from Greensburg, Pa. to finish his High School. Prior to his coming he spent a short time in Kingswood College, Ky. During his stay with us this year we have found him to 'be a most agreeable boy, with a sincere and honest heart. One who was always willing to accommodate even in the smallest favors. Lloyd has been ia blessing by his musical talent both instrumental and vocal. We feel assured that if he continues to let God have his way in his life he -will prove to be a blessing to those with whom he comes in contact. We wish him the heartiest success in the school that is called life . Thelma Beck entered school in 1931 and is a resident of this city. We have admired her for her desire to be at the head of her class. Nor were those ambitions fruitless for very few have ranked higher. -MQ 2 B 554'
