fha Lmmi essaqe To the Class of 1935: Time, yes time, which waits for no one has spun its Webb of years- eleven of them since the first Commencement. Twelve boys and girls in a new experience said Good-bye to their Alma Mater to face a wide, wide world. What a task! Who can rightly prophesy the future? Will it be success or failure? The first is hoped, always hoped, and the latter is shunned wherever and whenever possible. Clan we fully trace the footprints of those who have come and gone since 1924? Wind and wave have crossed and recrossed the paths of the true and the lbrave, but they must cross and recross again where they have not, for the command is Forward, ever Forward and forward they go. But can and will those who have gone before do it all? No, no, never, there must be others - always others and others. 'tCouragze, boys, courage , signaled some one from a distant point, Recruits are coming, they are marching in a stately fashion, their ban- ners are unfurled, their weapons for a spiritual warfare are brandishing against the encamped hosts of evil. Come on! Come on! fellow comrades, we welcome you. We Will make places for you. Your equipment is not like ours who have gone before. Yours is better, yes, better in many Ways. Experience plus knowledge plus God is everything necessary for success. We thank God and rejoice 'to know you have joined us. Though we may be unseen and separated one from the other by mountains, plains and seas, yet, Blest be the tie that binds Our hearts in Christian love, The fellowship of kindred minds Is like to that above. Before our Father's throne We pour our ardent prayers, Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one, Our comforts and our cares. We share our mutual woes, Our mutual burdens bear, And often for each other flows The sympathizing tear. VVhen we assuuder part lt gives us inward pain, But we shall still be joined in heart, And hope to meet again. WALTER F. BUBB, President of the Alumni Association. -will 2 5 Ih-

Q55 OIZQ LABOREHS TOGETHER WITH HIM NVQ are going forth to labor in the servioe of the Lordg We are striving for His favor, for the faithful 's sure reward. Although We are 'Weak and helpless, yet our strength! He doth supply, And with Him to be our counsel we will labor' till we die. Though the world may frown upon us, and the eros-s we choose to bear Yet, the Cfhrist has gone before us, and will all, our 'burdens bear. So with all the zeal and fervor, of 'a 'heart that ls loyal, true, We will labor with our Master and We know Helll take us through. We're devoted to our Saviour, and the cause for which he died, We'l1 raise high the blood stained banner, and exalt the Crueified. VVe have promised to be faithful, we will serve with heart sincere, Anywhere, Oh Iiord, Our Master we will labor 'Wlhile We're here. Wheii our working shall have ended, and we know the victory's Wong When He reckons with the faithful, and we hear Him say Well done Then we 'll rest with Him forever, unmolested by life 's care, Oh! how glad we,ll be up yonder that we labored with him here. ass Z5 tory VVe, the Class of 1935, have come not to the end but to the beginning, For some of us this is the end of our work here in the Allentown Bible Institute but it is also the beginning of a life of service. VVe look back on our school life as an accomplishment not only for man but for God. Our class has been engaged in building a structure, each member being a laborer. Our goal has been to erect a structure that will stand throughout eternity. We do not feel that our building days are over but we do feel that here we have laid a firm foundation upon which We can build for the remainder of our lives - a foundation that will sup- port a great and beautiful edifice, Uhristian Character. Year after year other laborers have begun to build. Arches have been planned with patience, stones have been laid with prayer, mighty pillars of resolve have been raised and blocks of wisdom fitted in. Our laborers have Worked together faithfully. They have been watchful, prayerful and earnest. One of them is William Allshouse, who came to A. B. I. six years ago from Glassboro, N. J. From the very beginning he has diligently applied himself in the pursuit of his studies. Since that time he has endeared himself to the entire school. ln William we have found a steady Chris- tian character. For five years he sang in the school quartette, which traveled about the country spreading the Gospel. Last year he grad- uated from the Theological Department, tonight he is completing his High School. ' To prove to us that he had the interest of the school at heart, last June he married the music teacher, thus assuring us that she Would not leave. Throughout this year he has served very efficiently as Dean of men. We predict a bright future for him in whatever work he attempts since he has so successfully carried on his work here. Mr. Allshouse, as you graduate tonight We can truthfully say that your name will always bring pleasant memories. May God richly bless you in your every attempt for Him. -Nl 2 6 39
