Schwartz came to Allendale in lO48 after graduating from Princeton in IQ36, and serving as assistant head- master at the Hun School in Princeton. N. J. ln the two years that he has been at Allendale, he has won the friendship and admiration of the parents, faculty. and students. and he has stimulated among the student body a sense of re- sponsibility and duty to the school. ln addition to his duties as Headmaster. lVlr. Schwartz teaches Sixth Form Eng- lish Composition. ln his spare time. he talces delight in smoking one ot his collection of pipes, hunting, and play- ing with his dogs, Bar and mlqanian. 551' HEADMASTEH it lxlr. Smith came to Allendale in i941 lrom St. t,eter's School in Peelcslcill, New Yorlc. He is a member of the Class of 1034 of Hamilton College, where he received his AB. Besides teaching l.atin and Public Speaking, Mr. Smith coaches varsity tootball and baseball. ln the wintertime, he usually leads the slci squad on their uhiclcoriesf' although this year. with its laclc of good slciing weather. has made it impossible for him to go out on the slopes more than a few times. Mr. Smith is also an avid gardener. and enjoys such outdoor sports as fishing, tennis, swimming. golf and
