CLASS HISTORY As we entered the kindergarten of Allen Creek School in September of 19h3, there were fifteen new members gazing wonderously at the many sights arou d them. Miss Bradstreet was trying to quiet down John Thomson, Sam Halaby, Stanley Moress, Jim Tompkins, Bill Dietz, Win Gifford and Steven Foster who were fighting over the new red fire engine. B1ffy,Com isso, Betsy Wilson, Hart Goldsmith, Sue Ewell, Georgia Dusterdieck, Carole Odell, Tom Dunsmuir and Philip Heckel didn't seem to be paying attention as they were more interested in Peter Rabbit and his adventures. The year passed happily with many expectations of the coming years. , In first grade we met Curtis Grinnell and Andy Rowland. With Miss Sunter as our teacher we got our first taste of reading and arithmetic and staying in school for a full day, which was very exciting for us. The next year Mrs. Burger, our second grade teacher, introduced us to Lois Boon, Catherine Ramsey and Tom Dalbey. Soon the whole grade was saying there A, B, C's and studying the lives of our American Indians. Miss Kittelberger CMrs. Roworthl our third grade teacher taught us to write. Our class was divided into three reading groups. That year we were excited to find out that we would stay for the first time until 3:30. Here, Fred Hughes Joined our group. The next year Mrs. Pilkington led us through many adventures with Bunga the Jungle Boy. One of the most exciting incidents was when we were invited to Benjamin Franklin School to give a science demonstration for the teacher's convention.
