Mr. Mattern PRINCIPAL Mr. Mattern seems to be busy as he looks over a few papers. My congratulations and best wishes to you the l957 grad- uates of Allegheny. It is my wish that the years ahead hold for each one of you success, health and happiness, along with the feeling of accomplishment that comes when a iob is well done. Most of you have been at Allegheny three years. The foundations you have laid and the friendships you have made should prove valuable to you in the years that are ahead. Your graduation marks a milestone in your edu- cational advancement. However, we continue to learn each day that we live. You should now go forward in life and continue to build for yourselves a life that has meaning and purpose. Opportunities for higher education are available to you through the great universities and colleges located in our city. Evening school programs are offered for those who wish to learn while they earn. We call attention, with pride, to our alumni and their ac- complishments. As you join that group remember our school motto, Prorsum et 5ursum.
