The girls meet first period on Vsfednesdays for practice sessions. bl. Goettman. R, Lorenz, C. Stahl, and L. Zang are pictured here during one of these practice sessions. THERES NOTHING LIKE A CLUB- CHEERLEADERS CLUB The Cheerleaders Club, which meets each Monday, has always attracted a large number of girls eager to become Allegheny's Cheerleaders. lts members are taught the basic fundamentals of cheering. and compete for the positions left open by graduating seniors. In the picture at the left, cheerleaders Betty Lou Schmidt and Gloria Castriota teach the new members, Evelyn Stoner, Darlene Schmitt, Barbara Mzihler, joan Schoettle, and Gladys johnson the proper ways of cheering.
