If it is too late for a cab or s-treet car, it matters not. He starts on foot for home, and is a 1pedestrian who is not backward about using force and power, of which he has a goodly stock. Will he lie in -bed the next morning and make up for time lost at night? Not he. Tn the grey of the next morning -he is out again and at the depot, ready to make another long trip. He never sco1wls, and his countenance at al-1 times is as radiant as a sun-beam. He seems to know everybody, and has a pleasant word for everybody he meets. The work- ingman who is going to his work receives a smile and a wo-rd of cheer as he proceeds to the place where he is to 1begin his day's work.
