On Saturday night, November 4, 1978, the stu- dent body of Alleghany High and the community were stunned by the death of two students in an automobile accident. Sherry Miller was a member of the sophomore class and a beautiful young lady with an outgoing personality. Sherry was; and I quote the words of a fellow student: Sweet, kind, loving and true, a perfect and compatable friend. Life is so short for those who are needed, but real friendship never ends; it just waits until we're together again. Sherry's vivacious laughter will not be heard in the halls of Alleghany High again, yet her mem- ory will remain. REMEMBER ME Remember me from yesterday. Not from yesteryear. Steve was vice-president of the junior class and a very active member of the Trojan Playmakers. Before this he had spent countless hours working with lighting and scenery. Steve's intriguing mountain drawl and fabu- lous sense of humor helped make our hard work seem easier.
