The team had a de- termined attitude to bring AHS a second conference championship. As the season came to a dose, the Trojans finished with an 8-2 record, overall. This was the best record that had ever been es- tablished at Alleghany High School. The Trojans had identical records with North Wilkes High. Since the Vikings had beaten the Trojans earlier in the year by a score of 8-6, they were allowed to play the district game.
