l l FERMAN G. PUGH all Ffnihuta On November 29, 1938, Ferman G. Pugh, our friend and leader, passed away. As president of the Board of Education for twenty years, his name became as well known in educa- tional circles as it was in civic and religious. Many lives have been touched by his generosity, and his spirit will continue to live in the fruits of his magnanimity. We are proud to have been thought worthy to share in his beneficences. Through his sponsorship of annual interscho- lastic debate many hundreds of high school students have re- ceived invaluable training in logical and analytical thinking.
