In our own community...Thirteen new teachers were added to the faculty roll for Allegan schools. . .The city re- paved the streets and installed new street lights in the busi- ness district. . .A new off-street parking lot was completed... The citizens of Allegan twice turned down proposals for a new county infirmary and a fire hall. . .The city hall was moved to a new location on Locust street...Our new high school neared completion. . .Six high school students conspired to em- blazon 4'Class of '57, on the water tower. . .
