IN MEMORY OF MARVIN DALE KELLY 11 8 63 - 12 2 83 He lived his short life to the fullest Dearly cherished by all who knew him, And rarely faltered in his stride. He’ll be surely missed by everyone. He knew how to live; he knew how to love; “Why , we wonder, “did he have to go? And he always brought his family pride. This man so strong and young. With the roar of his pick-up truck, Our questions can't be answered, His waving hand and flashing smile, And we really shouldn’t ask, He took life’s problems as they were presented, Because the Lord gave Marvin to us; Enjoying the challenge of each trial. And now He wants him back. Taking pleasure in nature’s gifts, One further thought must be added. He respected the beauty of this land. To each it should be known, He loved to go swimming; he worked in the woods. That Jesus gives us life on earth He was thankful for all that God put in his hands. But when it's time He’ll take us home. Snowmobile riding was his favorite sport, by Glenda Beth Hafford And that's how it happened one December day, While out for a ride on Friday afternoon, At twenty years old he was swept away.

We, the Senior Class of 1984, are proud and honored to dedicate our yearbook to a very special person. A humanist in the purest sense of the word-children were individuals and allowed to be heard. Demeaning the child was just not her style. She made them think of their mistakes for awhile, never had to raise her voice to make them obey, just got their attention in a subtle sort of way. The child’s status in society was completely ignored and throughout the school year the students ability soared. Some children who had lost themselves on the way soon discovered, I'm important! What more can I say?” An excellent teacher and we want it heard: “Ruth the humanist in the purest sense of the word.”
