CLASS HISTORY We, the Senior Class of 1968, began our freshman year with high hopes and a little fear in our hearts that the work would be hard. We were nine students who began to paddle our crafts to higher knowledge: Diane Soucy, Paula McBreairty, Kathy Kelly, Janice Kelly, Jason Kelly, Roger Jackson, Niles Kelly, Allan McBreairty, and Wesley Walker. During our sophomore year, we lost Roger Jackson, who went to work in Presque Isle. Also, we lost Paula McBreairty and Diane Soucy who left for Connecticut, where they attended school for a brief period of time. Later in the year they returned to join us. Our junior year again found us with one less. Wesley Walker attended Glen Cove Christian Academy in Glen Cove, Maine. This left only seven of us to row on. Later Niles Kelly dropped out leaving only six and Peggy McBreairty returned to join us after attending school in Connecticut. We again were seven members paddling on and upward. Our senior year we began with eight members of the old gang. Wesley Walker came back to join us. During the month of December three of our female members up and left us to get married. Peggy McBreairty married Jan Soucy, but continued to attend school. Kathy Kelly married Joel Jackson and Paula McBreairty married Harold Walker. That left six of us to finish our trip. Diane Soucy, Peggy Soucy, Janice Kelly, Jason Kelly, Allan McBreairty, and Wesley Walker. We are proud tonight to say the struggle was hard and up hill, but we are all ready to meet the challenge the future holds for us.
