In 1968, a Dream became a Reality; the collective wisdom of people with vision created what skeptics thought impos- sible — a Catholic High School serving the Bay area, des- tined to carry on the best values and traditions of parochial education. As we celebrate our Tenth Anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting upon the past decade and recalling the accomplishments which have made All Saints, despite its brief history, an outstanding school. Our concern for the welfare of others has been shown through our much acclaimed Community Service, CARE, SHARE, and Saganing Indian pro- grams. “Co and Serve the Lord, is more than a Biblical passage at All Saints; it's a commitment to Christian Service. 2 Academic achievement has been highly valued at All Saints, and through the years the School has been proud of the scholarly accomplishments of those who've distinguished themselves and the School with outstanding academic records. Scholarship, Character, Service, and Leadership — the ideal qua- lities for which All Saints scholars strive, ever mindful, however, of Cod's gift of Intelligence and Health. 3 Although it's a small school, All Saints has achieved moments in competitive sports that would rival those of the largest schools in the country. Each year has seen the de- velopment of outstanding athletes, and the winning results of total team effort. Among (he many Great Moments in Sports from the past decade. All Saints will always be proud of its two Basketball State Championships, two 9-0 Football seasons. Bob Learman's State Championship in Tennis, and the |V Girls' First Place in the 1975 Valley Parochial Basketball League. The Performing Arts have offered large numbers of students an opportuni- ty to experience the rewards of per- forming before an audience while simul- taneously developing their individual creative talents. A tremendous cooper- ative effort, combining the School's mu- sicians, actors, vocalists and behind the scenes personnel, gave appreciative audiences musical drama rivaling profes- TIHES BQUnE sional theatre. Among the outstanding musical drama pre- sented by talented All Saints students, were the memorable performances of OLIVER, WEST SIDE STORY, GUYS IM' DOLLS, and L'lL ABNER. 5 Administrative Team 1. Ray Dombroski Concludes Outstanding Coaching Career Football mentor retires after 1977 season, ending 24 years of dedicated and successful coaching. Bay County's Dean of Football Coaches After graduating from Central Michigan College in 1952, Coach Dombroski served a hitch in the Marines, then began his coaching career at Coleman, where his teams won a pair of conference championships during his eight years at the school. Moving to Bay City in 1962, Ray guided the St. James Irish to a title in the tough Valley Catholic Conference during his six year tenure with the Shamrocks. Summoned to coach the Cougars in 1968, Dombroski compiled a record of 62 wins, 24 losses and 3 ties. Regional Football Coach of the Year in 1972, '73, '76, and '77, his lifetime record is 134 wins, 63 losses, 8 ties. I've been very fortunate to have worked with good kids, replied the humble Coach recently. I've been very lucky. The lucky ones have been the athletes and fans who've benefi- ted from his coaching and influence. We'll miss you, Coach! Enjoy your retirement; you've earned it! 43 Hockey Team Moves Along . . .
