VOCATIO AL EDUCATIO PREPARE TUDE TS EOR FUTURE CAREER A segment of school life at Alisal High School that is rarely in the limelight is that of Vocational lfducation. This program provides immeasurable benefits to its participants in more ways than one. Fields such as nursing, carpentry, automotive mechanics, and retail merchandising, to name a few, were explored by the students. Besides allowing students to obtain some of their own money, it developed a sense of responsibility and understanding towards labor-mana ement relationshivs. it also act uainted many eonle A h 1 , D with the workings of the Federal lneome lax system as some people earned enough money in the course of their endeavors to qualify for the IRS. Under the guidance of Mr. Robert jones, the program has been expertly developed and carried out at Alisal. Wlorkirig closely with students and their employers, Mr. jones was able to establish a close rapport between the community businessmen and Alisal.
