O - ..,...w-547 N N L'LL Q GAA PARTICIPATES IN N NUAL I ITIATIO DAY G.A.A. held their annual lnitiation Day for their new memhers and two new P.E. coaches, Miss Little and Miss DiVall. A required dress code was worn by the new members of the cluh as part of the initiation. Games were played in the amphitheater at lunch time followed by an after sehool initiation which included walking through Mljhe Path Of the Unknown , getting sprayed with shaving cream and a hose, and a refreshing swim in the pool. OUR GIRLS STRI E TO CLAIM FITN SS AWARD 2 U 'svn This year's Miss Fitness Award went to Jackie Simon with Elvia Flores coming in as first runner-up. The Presidential Fitness Award is received by the girls who meet the qualifications in the 50 yard dash, 600 yard run, Bush-ups, sit-ups, long jump, and softball throw? The main goal of the Fitness Award is to urge girls to keep themselves in good physical condition. With expert coaching from the Girls' Physical Education Department, over 70 girls were presented the Presidential Fitness Award.
