TRACK INTEREST CLUB STIMULATES ENTHUSIASM IN SPORTS ACTIVITIES BY SELLING FOOTBALL PROGRAMS AND TRACK CONCESSIONS THIS YEAR This year the objectives of the Track lnterest Club were to help with track and cross country meets and to promote track as a sport. Selling football programs at our home games and setting up concession stands at track meets were some of their fund raising activities. Some of the members also travelled to away track meets to rally their spirits. The sponsor of the Traek lnterest Club was Coach Allen. Planning many of the elub's aetivities was Kathy Conley. BOWLING CLUB ROLLS UP TEAM HONORS BY COMPETING WITH ALL RIVALS FROM AREA Unde the guidance of Mr. Walden, and officers Ken Alberry, president, klim Armstrong, secretary, the Bowling Team had a very successful season. They defeated many of their rivals and also set up games to compete in inter-squad competition. The five top male bowlers were Ken Alberry, ,lim Talbott, Y jim Armstrong, Charles lVIunoz, and Darold Lewis. The top female bowlers were Charlene Oattis, Linda Hall, Mary Cowan, Sue Bennett, and Cheryl Copeland. The team met once a week on Wednesday afternoons. Cirrder, li. Fonner. C. Munoz. ROW' FOUR: R. Mrs. Camany, adxisor. BLOCK A AND G.A.A. OFFICERS LEAD GIRLS IN ATHLETIC ENDEAVORS The Girls' Athletic Association is one of the most acttive clubs on campus. The members of this organization participated in many different sports after school and during lunch time under the leadership of their advisor, Mrs. Camany. G.A.A. fund raising activities this year were the selling of Swap-a-Pops and HFuzzies . They also sponsored several noon dances. The money raised by these activities was used to meet the needs of the club and for the annual five- hundred dollar athletic scholarship. The girls also held their annual G.A.A. Initiation Day during the middle of the year. The new members dressed up as clowns and played games in the amphitheater to the amusement of all the students. CIAA Officers Front row: A. DRAMA CLUB A D I SCCIETY PROMOTE I TERE T CN STAGE The primary goal of the Drama Club was to foster and encourage a greater interest in the theater arts through the presentation of both classic and modern plays throughout the school year. This year the Drama Club traveled to San Francisco on separate occasions to see Ml-lamletn and An Enemy of the Peoplef' The Drama Club also sponsored four major productions during the course of the '70-'71 school year: The Mousetrapu, The Imaginary lnvalidn, The Crucible , and Guys and Dolls . The lnternational Thespian Society is an honorary organization. Eligibility is determined through accumulation of points earned either on stage or offstage. During the second semester nearly fifty new students became eligible for membership in this growing organization.
