IIJCD CLUB The goals of this organization are to foster an appreciation of the theater as a part of our cultural heritage and to enable those interested students to become a more critical observer in his judgment ofthe theatre art. This is accomplished through at least one field trip to the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and other related activities. This year the llios Club's objectives were to promote interest in wrestling. Fund raising activities sponsored by this club were a car wash and a stand at the carnival. CREATIVE WRITI G This year the primary purpose of the Creative Writing Club was to edit, publish, and sell magazines containing the best writing efforts of Alisal High students. Right after Christmas vacation a writing contest was sponsored to determine the best short story, poem, and essay efforts of the students of Alisal High School. These efforts were published in their Aligraph magazine. Editor of the magazine was Debbie Fite. Glenda Mapp and Debbie Moss were Publicity Chairmen, Vicki Brown and Margo Torres were Art Editors, and Kathy Ouigley was Secretary-Treasurer. CHECKERS' CLUB This year the officers of the Checker's Club were Larry Larrecou, President: Gary Edgerton, Vice-President: David Layus, Secretary, and David Nelson, Treasurer. The club sponsored many service projects for the school. These advanced students in drafting. They also donated a one hundred- dollar scholarship to a deserving student to go to Hartnell. This year the object of the Hi Set Club was to instill in the minds of the teenage girls of today the idea that their appearance is important. Their club helped the girls to look at themselves objectively and with poise. It also presented various fun activities for the girls to participate in. KEY CLUB The Key Club, sponsored by the Alisal Kivvanis, conducted many fund raising activities this year. Some of their activities included a canned food drive during Christmas, the distribution and collection of lVlarch of Dimes cannisters, and the sponsoring of the district's playday.
