FUTURE FARMER OF AMERICA This year the members of the Future Farmers of America studied vocational agriculture and operated under the provisions ofthe National Vocational Education Acts. The Future Farmers of America developed agricultural leadership, character, thrift, scholarship, cooperation, citizenship, and patriotism. Some of the members retain their membership after graduation for a maximum of three years or retain until their tvventy-first birthday. Sponsor of this club was Mr. Donald Mullen. The officers this year were Luther Norred, President, Russel Hockin, Vice-President, Dema Thornton, Secretary, Manuel Raposa, Treasurer, Debbie Benefield, Reporter, and Jim Rubis, Sentinel. FFA members talk over the activities ofthe year. FFA members learn more about their future career.

CREATIVE WRITI G This year the primary purpose of the Creative Writing Club was to edit, publish, and sell magazines containing the best writing efforts of Alisal High students. Right after Christmas vacation a writing contest was sponsored to determine the best short story, poem, and essay efforts of the students of Alisal High School. These efforts were published in their Aligraph magazine. Editor of the magazine was Debbie Fite. Glenda Mapp and Debbie Moss were Publicity Chairmen, Vicki Brown and Margo Torres were Art Editors, and Kathy Ouigley was Secretary-Treasurer. CHECKERS' CLUB This year the officers of the Checker's Club were Larry Larrecou, President: Gary Edgerton, Vice-President: David Layus, Secretary, and David Nelson, Treasurer. The club sponsored many service projects for the school. These advanced students in drafting. They also donated a one hundred- dollar scholarship to a deserving student to go to Hartnell.
