The seven course offerings of the mathematics department include general math and Algebra I in grade 9, plane geometry in grade 10, and basic math, Algebra II, trigonometry, and solid geometry for upper grade students. The courses are geared to fulfill requirements of all major course areas and also provide foundations for col- lege mathematics. OH, IT'S EASY, says Mr. George Polovina, instructor for Algebra I and II, trigonometry and solid geometry classes. MATHEMATIC Calls for A GENERAL MATH problem requires Mrs. Beverly Fazio's clarifi- cation for Florian Manfredi. Algebra I is also taught by Mrs. Fazio. THE TRANSIT used in his trigonometry class is handled care- fully by Mr. Joseph Ross. Mr. Ross also teaches geometry and basic math classes.

Typing is also of- fered for non-commercial course students in grade 12, and twice-a- week after-school typing classes are conducted throughout the year.
