The business community in Southwest Houston expanded quickly in the past few years. If you blinked, the area had changed by the time you reopened your eye. “Strip” shopping centers popped up on every available street corner. Without economic growth Alief would not have progressed for growth is necessary for progress. The Ramblings yearbook would not have been possible without the financial support of these businesses. Publication costs rose every year with inflation thus making it necessary to increase advertising. The Ramblings staff thanks those businesses who continued their support this year.
