Gonzales, Baggett pair up to lead team Gilbert Gonzales, leading passer, and Tim Baggett, leading pass re- ceiver, led the strong Junior Varsity team. Gilbert's accomplishments were eight hundred and four yards, eighty-seven attempts and fifteen touchdowns. Tim's achievement as receiver was two hundred and nine- teen yards. His total yards were four hundred and ninety-two in rushing, passing and receiving. Brian Engle, also outstanding in rushing, ended the season with two hundred and twenty-four yards. Most valuable players were Kelvin Bartee and Chuck Shillington. They both played offense and defense. Kelvin was the leading rusher with three hundred and thirty-six yards. Chuck was the leading tackler on the team. The team's, outstanding accom- plishments were one thousand, three hundred and seven yards rushing and eight hundred, thirty-six yards passing.
