odern Modern Dance classes help the students to learn dance techniques, choreographic forms, and stage- craft to enable each member of the class to put on a full scale modern dance concert-one which includes solos, duets, and group dances. This year, the modern dance class is preparing a concert and other performances such as assemblies and open house. Alicia Kirkpatrick is the Head Choreographer with Lisa Valenti and Paige Banks as directors. Hang In There Baby, is an award presented to the hardest working and most dedicated dancer. Achievement awards go to those who have performed in at least two performances and who attend at least forty percent of dance activi- ties in the valley each year. Majorettes twirl with spirit Alhambra High School's major- ettes have had an exciting year. Along with their sponsor, Mr. Lebs, make up routines to perform for AHS students. The majorettes practice every day during fourth hour with the pep band. It is then that they put to- gether different routines which they perform at games.
