The long-awaited day finally arrived when you could look down on all the other classes and say with great dignity and pride, I am a SENIOR! The teachers, however, didn't seem to be very much impressed, they went right on assigning homework. In fact, several suggested that they expected more of you because you were seniors. How naive. The audience joined in to make the senior play, The Streets of New York , a success. All hissed and booed the villain, cheered the hero, and sighed over the passionate love scenes as the old-fashioned mellerdrammer un- folded before them. You were the first class, this year, to finish the twelve long years' stretch. To some of you this will be the endg to others, this is only the beginning.
