ow eep is the Qcean ln the day of technical knowledge, navigation, and mechanics, the Science- Math department has an important job to do. With over half of each gradu- ating class going into the armed forces, there is a greater need tor the subjects taught in this department. The boys must be well drilled in trig and physics for such jobs as navigator, radioman, bombardier, etc. With girls the trend has been toward physiology and chemistry to prepare for nurses' training after graduation. ,.-4 IPQ Attention! Right dress! Left face! Right face! About face! No, the army hasn't taken over, but the Boys' Physical Education depart- ment has gone all out for the war effort. A special course includes tumbling and work on the ropes, rings, and parallel bars. The gym teachers seem deter- mined to make us physically fit or bust, but sometimes we wonder whether it is meant to build us up or break us down.
