Hood, efficient Students' Counselor, guide the students across the rocky sectors of high school life. 1 want to be transferred into 6th period English. That is the com- mon phrase heard in the registrars office the first week of school. Genial foe does his best to satisfy everyone in a position which calls for some- one ivith much patience. One of the reasons for his popularity is that although he is sometimes the Rs victim of pranks played by the students, he can take it with a grin. Far from being the conventional Truant Officerf' Mr. Casey is a pleas- ant, good-natured man. The job he holds is an extremely diH'icult one. but he carries it out with as little disagreeableness as possible. Helping Mr. Casey in the quest of high school offenders is Mr. Ivan Tagert. Often the line is long enough to look like that of a Satur- but on the faces of those who ditched yesterday to go to the slips and excuses are the constant topic of conversation in the day Movie, beach or to the mountains there is a look of sadness. Miss McCollizm. whose job it is to check up with the absentees, is a very fair-minded person. With her assistant.
