My s3l5fff?'2 During the 1962- 1963 school year there was one smiling face at AHS that had a little trouble with English at first, but was at the top of his American History class and could ski like he'd been on a mountain or two in his time. It was Tom Hanni, Algona High's foreign exchange student from Baden, Switzerland. Though Tom was rarely seen without his little blue book, no trouble was encountered in communicating the mutual respect and admiration which existed between Tom and the school. Tom's talks to the school and various groups around town were greatly enjoyed. His sense of humor, friendly greeting, and familiar figure will all be greatly missed.
