Cheryl Delorit was elected President, and her staff included Sharon Dhuey, Vice-Presidentg Dianna Pommier, Secretaryg Nancy Schmiling, Treasurerg Bar- bara Tlachac, Historiang and Sue Schlise, Re- porter. The F.H,A, initiation, the annualspring trip, the social gatherings for the teachers and the mothers, the getting acquainted program with the Brussels Chapter, and the F,F,A,-F,H,A, Christmas Party were some of the social highlights of the year. Other successful activities conducted were participation in the U,N,I,C,E,F, Collection, sending Christmas gifts to needy families in our area, bake and candy sales, football- basketball game sales, and the style show.

I 5 M14 fat Uomofuww The Algoma Chaper of the Future Farmers of America is composed of fifty-six members who elected the following officers for 1960-1961: Wayne Maedke, President: Martin Tlachac, Vice-President: Ernie Bellin, Sentinel: Michael Hackett, Reporter: Kenneth Tebon, Secretary: and Darrell Nell, Treas- urer. Leadership events of F.F.A. were county and state fairs, Northeastern Livestock Show, Officer Training School, Green Lake Convention, Junior Dairymen's Association, state leadership meeting at New Holstein, and F.F.A. speaking contest. Mr. Koss, the director, was elected a member of the State Advisory board of the Wisconsin Vocational Agriculture Teachers' Association. F, F, A, projects included the twenty-seventh annual Parent and Son Banquet, a rat and mouse 34 campaign, certified seed and calendar sales, and the planting of four thousand reforestation trees. The boys' trip was to Chicago. Special achievements and awards were: the nomination of two Wisconsin Farmer Degrees: ,Tim Blahnik received the American Farmer Degree at Kansas City which put him in the top fifteen boys in the state: Dan Krause was elected State Sec- retary: Mr, Koss was elected to represent the state agricultural teachers at the national convention:Dan Krause and Bruce Schmiling received the Wisconsin Farmer Degree at the state convention. The chap- ter had the Grand Champion Holstein and Guernsey and the best chapter herd for the fourth consecutive year, Two-thirds of the chapter entered the local speaking contest. A first and second prize was also won in the Public Service Essay Contest,

Activities included soccer, basketball, and volley- ball. Serving lunches for cheerleaders and players after the basketball games was a special project, CAMERA CLUB--TOP ROW: C. Anderson, S. Antonneau, D. Soucek, M. Cornette, J. Massart, J. Koeberl, P. Rye LOOK AT THE BlRDIE The primary purpose of theCamera Club is to develop an interest in the art ofphotography. One of the main pro- jects of the shutter snappers this year was to buy an enlarger for the school's use. Other activities included the developing, printing, and enlarging of the photographs.
