Viewing the great metropolis of which tiger had grown to be, we remember how small it was when we were in school Cn reaching the city limits we came to a big farm now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Campbell. Bradley was busy doing the evening chores, while Ruby was working in her flower garden. Continuing home, we turned on the radio and what should we hear but the band of one of my old classmates, Morris Gosserd, and his vocalist was Miss Norma Linn. I hear they have made this partnership together for life. I wonder if Morris is still sc particular about his curly hair. Upon our arrival home, we heard the telephone ringing. When I answered, to my surprise, I recognized the voice of my girl friend, Kathryn Inn McGlaughlin, whom we called n Katie in school. She is em¬ ployed as a telephone operator of Bell Telephone Company. She is now residing in Reno, Nevada. I hear that wedding bells will be ringing soon. As Kathryn connected the wires, the voice of Newman Clapp was heard. He said he would arrive in Alger the following week to oversee an engineering job. Marjorie Whitaker is chief engineer in their home I found out. As I was too tired to prepare dinner, we decided to go out for dinner at the Tropic na Room in Alger’s leading hotel, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harsh. M ry Belle is a very charming hostess. On our way to a table we met Mr. and Mrs, Paul Hopkins. Mrs. Hopkins is the former Miss Gloria Jean Mulholl nd .We decided to have dinner together and I inquired about Anna Mae Williams and learned that she has gradu¬ ated from U.C.L.A. in California, with high honors. At the next table,we recognized Ronald Stanley, J-ck Hicks, and Donald Worthington dining with three lovely girls. And I see that Jrck still h?s his old h?bit of chewing gum. Ind believe it or not, Donnie hos grown to be - stent of six feet tell, I sec th t Ronald is in the uniform of our 0. S. M ' rincs -nd I he r th t Jr.ck is.a prosperous onion former. The clothes she is wearing ere designed by Mss Ella Nichols, v:ho is a designer, and seamstress in New York. Miss Stevenson is a model for John Powers. Norman Hall has left -.tiger since Phyllis came to New York and is a broker now. Well, will turn in now, as today irs certainly an exciting day, since I have come in contact ith the Seniors of 49. But only nine have i conpleted the twelve years. They are as follows: Bradley Camp- bell, Jack Hicks, Cloyd Lawrence, Kathryn Ann McGlaughlin, [ gloria Jean Mulholland, Ella Nichols, Ronald Stanley, Rhonda 1 Underwood, Anna Mae Villiams, And Donald Worthington. One of our pupils came two or three years, went to another school, then returned to our class. This traveling oupil was k Robert Hicks, who is now at Lima South. In our last four years of high school we have lost nineteen t • pupils and gained one. Twelve of the nineteen are married now ( and some are going to other schools. Our ouoil gained is Newman i I - ' Clapu, who joined us in the eleventh grade. During this year we worked in the Chemistry Laboratory. This excited us, especially Donald Vorthington, who found out that hydrogen will really explode. ' Ve were about all scared to death. A few other things happened too, such as mixing acids together to see if they will explode. Till they Morris? I’m sure they will. After our Chemistry work, came the Junior-Senior Prom. This was held at the Elks Club at Findlay, After the Prom we walked around Findlay, then stopped at the Vedge, a resturant, and ate a late lunch. Then we made our trip back home. Then we became Seniors we were very happy. This made us feel as if we had really grown up. 7e got out of many classes COMPLIMENTS OF COURTESY i A KENTON, OHIO COMPLIMENTS OF THE COMPLETE INSURANCE AGENCY ADA, O lT XO ADA, OHIO SANDV’IOHES ICE CREAM SOFT DRINKS PLEA STELES FOR YOTTNG OLD ALGER, OHIO Carman-Fifth Grade; Mr. F. In our Junior year came the Junior play, which was a success, e had many hard times while learning our parts, but w e along all right, Then we recieved our class rings, which ♦ f That we looked forward to next, was learning to type stencils running the mimeograoh machines, and working on the annual.
