Fifteen years ago, Fall Festival was first organized. Its theme, Progress Through Technical Education, was expressed by stu- dents in all residences who set up their house signs and exhibits. t Bus loads of high school students toured the Alfred campus to become better acquainted with college life. Each Academic Department approached Fall Festival in a different manner. For example, the biology labs demonstrated different clinical techniquesg while the accounting department demonstrated the operations of computers and their functions. Preparations were being made for the Harvest Ball while the different exhibits were taken down. At nine o'clock the couples arrived with eager anticipation for the crowning of the Harvest Ball King and Queen. This climaxed the annual Fall Festival Weekend. 143
