It is the climax of plans begun early in 1963. Besides broadcasting music and local campus news and events, the station has many other purposes. Among them are to encourage and promote greater student participation in cam- pus activities and organizations, and to give students a chance, by working in the various departments, to improve upon their own skills within their particular Curriculums. Transmitters are located in each dormitory and fraternity and soror- ity house, as well as the Student Union. 133
