L:.l fi: F- The Student Senate is the governing body of the students at the college. Its function is to recom- mend policy relating to student activities, ap- prove student clubs and organizations, and carry out such action and publicity as may be neces- sary for problems arising that concern the wel- fare of the students. The membership consists of representatives from every recognized student living center. The purpose of this organization is to promote the welfare of the students of the two-year colleges of the State University in all areas of student co- curricular activities.

These students are initiated into the society after they have been voted in by the members. Members of Sigma Tau have unlimited cuts from classes and are exempt from taking final exams. 130
