It was started to make possible a closer faculty-student relationship and also furnish a practical inter- change of knowledge in the F loriculture field. For education and entertainment, the club sponsors movies, speakers, parties, and picnics. RADIO CLUB The Alfred Radio Amateur's Club consists of active radio amateurs or persons interested in amateur radio, its betterment, and its advance- ment, and desiring to broaden our knowledge of, and further our mutual interest in amateur radio. Following this policy we hold classes in Inter- national Morse radiotelegraph code and F. C. C. regulations. The A. R. A. C. holds meetings at least once every two weeks. X First Row: R. F. Pattercrg R. Peerg H. Butlerg R. Ransley. RURAL ENGINEERS The Rural Engineers Club holds its meetings the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 P.M. The club has already taken a field trip to the Massey Harris farm machinery plant in Toron- to, Canada, and has had a stag picnic at the Sportsmen's Club, and a supper in Hornell. We also plan to have one or two more Held trips to Syracuse, and if possible, one to Harrisburg, Pa. Other social activities which will be held locally are a hay ride, ice skating, and bobsledding, speakers and films at meetings.

P.O.G.A.A..B. n The A. P. A. Club of Alfred is a relatively new club to Ag-Tech. It is formed of members of Poul- try, General Agriculture and Agriculture Business departments. It was formed to promote an interest in the many divisions of agriculture. Its main pur ose is brou ht about by activities of interest and benefit to al? members. One of the outstanding events of the year is the A. P. A. sponlsored and directed chicken barbecue durin the fa l festival. Most of this recognition was gained because of the publication of the club paper, The Diesel Weasel. The Diesel Club is the only club on campus that regularly pub- lishes a pa er. The Diesel Club was also the only cljub represented in the annual assembly variety show. The club also held parties throughout the year. The bi gcst event was tl1e Diesel club banquet field in February. The plurpose of the banquet is to bring togct er the diesel students and men from industry so that they may exchange ideas.
