BACK TO When school becomes your every- day occupation, classes seem to be- come your master. However, there is always one place to escape the grind of classwork. The much-ac- claimed and much-visited cafeteria takes its position of tantamount importance once again as shown by Nathaniel Harvey's daily visit. The first eager student is all smiles. These students are racing to get back to school. 10

It is sometimes difficult for the high school stu- dent to comprehend what he ever did to deserve Mondays. After an all-too-brief weekend, the mere thought of trudging from class to class, loading up on homework for the week, is enough to make one's shoulders and spirits droop. So, each student must struggle through a seemingly unending six and one half hours of agony, all the while keeping his sanity by bearing in mind that he must survive only one Monday per week. Friday. Ah, marvelous Friday! As students floun- der through the week, their spirits miraculously rise with each passing day. Hail, Friday! Jubila- tion! Friday, the day of pep rallies, parties, and The weekend's finally here! It doesn't matter that the entire class has just failed the pop quiz in biology, or that an English teacher has just given her students enough homework for the next ten months. It only matters that it's Friday. Day of redemption — glorious Friday! 9

SCHOOL The end of summer comes al- most before the student real- izes it and certainly before he is ready for it. After a vacation that swiftly slipped away, the prospect of nine months spent in serious study does not seem very appetizing. However, school is not all intense educa- tion-seeking. There is time for visits to the area water foun- tain when lively class discus- sions dry the throat or to a locker to prepare for whatever may come next, whether it is changing a flat tire or study- ing in the lobby.
